Toyota UK employs over 3,000 workers on their two plants. The plants are heavily reliant on both export and import.

"Before the EU-Japan trade deal, Toyota used the UK to enter the European market," said Manuele Citi, associate professor of economics at Copenhagen Business School.

Toyota UK produces around 148,000 cars each year. The vast majority of them are sold to the European market, and as such would be greatly limited if tariffs are imposed.
